As you have all by now seen the sigil at the library door which greets everyone with the pass-phrase, "Long Live the Lord Protector!" it falls to me now to properly unfold the context in which this felicitous phrase is uttered. It is a context specific to this great institution which cradles us in a warm cauldron of learning until we have steeped enough to absorb the knowledge necessary to become wise and strong citizens of the Protectorate.

As it is said, from those to whom much is given, much will be required. It behooves those to whom the Protectorate has smiled upon to give gratefully -- and what better gift to demonstrate that gratitude than a gift to dear old Hogwarts, a gift that will build the future of the Protectorate by building those who will do the Lord Protector's work in the coming days. My Father, Lionel Moon, in his role as one of the Governors, has made his gratitude clear by encouraging endowments that benefit our library. As a dutiful son -- nay, more than dutiful, inspired! -- it is my happiness to not only help select some of the books, but also to use my skills to place a reminder of our true focus at the door of the library, that all who enter may utter the phrase and remember Who leads us into the glorious future. I echo the work of my Father and set by the door my sigil to remind us all it is our privilege to say, "Long Live the Lord Protector!"

Thank you.

When do you think we can take them down? I mean, ours aren't hurting anything, obviously, but I've heard a few people saying they'd really like things back to normal.

And that's not half what I've heard people say about those accursed cats.
