If my favourite and most incomparable Gryffindor is awake and would step outside her Common Room for a moment, I have got a piece of chocolate for you. One of our third-years received a package from home this evening, and she gave me several. I believe she was suffused with gratitude over a bit of assistance offered when she was making some tricky class selection decisions some time ago. It is so gratifying to see the young being so appreciative of the guidance of their Prefects and elders. In any case, I think you will quite enjoy it: a bit of lovely chocolate cunningly shaped into the likeness of a Galleon.

The student in question said they are some sort of tradition, no doubt harking back to wherever her family is from, rather like those Mummers Plays and the Weasleys and all. The Protectorate does have a wealth of quaint customs in its odd corners, doesn't it? Some of them are quite charming, and this one is, I must say, scrumptious. She put a few out for the general populace in the Ravenclaw Common Room this evening, and they've all been snaffled up, but I've saved one of the ones she gave me, and will bring it to you directly if you but say the word, fair damsel.
