Private Message to my sweetest Lavender
Dec. 26th, 2014 11:55 amMy dearest, you know how I am often saying that you would shine even in the most glittering of settings? And that my hope is to make a brilliant enough career that you would have such an opportunity regularly? My esteemed parents have just presented me with the most astonishing fait accompli, as they say: tickets for the two of us for St Mungo's Charity Ball -- and not just any tickets either! These are the higher-level ones, with access to the Very Important Personages sitting room and also two thousand play-money Galleons for wagering at the tables in the Hall of Fortune adjoining the ballroom. (I believe that the latter were a two-for-one offer, play-Galleons for real, and of course one can purchase more play-Galleons at par at the tables. The entire scheme is of course brilliant as a fund-raiser, but the Hall of Fortune ought to be a real treat.)
We shall paint the town in shimmering hues!
I do hope a day's notice is enough for you to find robes you like. I did come write you as soon as they told me, I promise. I understand these things are complicated for witches, but I am sure you will triumph over any logistical thickets and thorns.
